Heartland Institute is Organising a new Conference on “Global Warming: Crisis Cancelled”.
The organizers of the March 2008 conference that brought together more than 500 scientists, economists, and other experts on global warming has unveiled plans to hold a second conference on March 8-10, 2009, once again in New York City. The Carbon Sense Coalition is a Co-Sponsor of this conference. Viv Forbes and several other members of “Carbon Sense” attended the last conference and found it very informative.
The 2009 International Conference on Climate Change will serve as a platform for scientists and policy analysts from around the world who question the theory of man-made climate change. This year's theme, "Global Warming Crisis: Cancelled," calls attention to new research findings that contradict the conclusions of the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. Penny drops - carbon tax destroys jobs.
Mr Rudd has woken up that Penny's Ration-and-Tax (RAT) Scheme will destroy jobs.
But instead of killing the RAT Scheme, he proposes a massive carbon subsidy to
offset the job destruction caused by the carbon tax.
Kevin and Malcolm need to make up their minds.
If they want to cut the production of harmless carbon dioxide, it MUST cause job
losses in coal, power generation, cement, steel, farming and tourism.
But if job protection is important to them, they should abandon the RAT scheme
immediately and concentrate on important matters.
Fiddling with it, achieves neither goal.
As for the subsidy, Kevin needs reminding that the money we get from Canberra is
the money we sent to Canberra, less handling charges both ways.

A tax and subsidy policy always replaces real jobs in regional industry with
fake jobs in the money laundering departments in Canberra.

Only three amendments are needed:
"Reject, Reject, Reject".
A Statement by Mr Viv Forbes, Chairman, The Carbon Sense Coalition, Australia.
The Chairman of the Carbon Sense Coalition, Mr Viv Forbes, today called for a
grass roots revolt by the real workers of Australia against the green militia
and their socialite supporters who are leading the country into job cuts, power
blackouts and poverty.
Mr Forbes claimed that only three brave and outspoken politicians understand the
real threats facing Australia, both from natural climate change (probably cold
and dry) and from the stupid policies supposed to stop global warming (it has
stopped).
"Martin Ferguson is in touch with real people who keep the wheels turning in the
mines, factories and transport fleet. He knows that none of these industries
could operate without using carbon fuels which all produce harmless carbon
dioxide gas. He knows we need efficient reliable power stations, not wind and
solar playthings.
"Barnaby Joyce represents the farmers, foresters and fishermen who produce the
food, fibre and building materials we all need. He also knows that none of these
essential items can be produced without producing more harmless CO2 gas.
"Steve Fielding stands up for all the Australian families hoping for jobs for
themselves and their kids. He knows that every job in Australia depends on our
basic industries making the minerals, food, fibres and processed goods the world
buys from us.
"Public opinion polls show that ordinary Australians are increasingly swinging
behind these leaders while Mr Rudd trips the Climate Change Stage, and Malcolm
Turnbull agonises over how to make a more comfortable green noose for Australia.
The only people who support such nonsense are the huge Climate Change Industry
and those trying to buy green votes in the leafy suburbs.
"All real work produces carbon dioxide.
"The only way we can quickly reduce production of CO2 is by reducing jobs or
reducing our consumption of food, fibre and minerals - the Ration-n-Tax Scheme
thus offers unemployment and poverty in real industry in return for more taxes
to create make-believe green jobs.
Mr Turnbull thinks nine amendments will make the RAT scheme acceptable.
Only three amendments are required: "Reject, reject, reject".

“Energy Security for Australia –
find more oil, waste it less”.
A statement by Viv Forbes, Chairman of the Carbon Sense Coalition.
7 December 2008
For Immediate Release.
The Carbon Sense Coalition today called on Australian governments to focus more on energy security, particularly domestic oil exploration, production and refining capacity.
Responding to a Queensland government paper entitled “Towards Oil Resilience”, Viv Forbes, Chairman of “Carbon Sense”, said that far too much exploration land was locked up in No-Go areas such as marine parks, national parks, world heritage areas, aboriginal reserves and other restricted areas.
“Oil tankers pose far more threat to the coastline and the Great Barrier Reef than would a few oil production platforms and far less eyesore and hazard than hundreds of wind towers.
“A few inconspicuous oil wells would also disfigure the outback environment far less than thousands of solar panels. And they do less environmental damage than clearing or cultivating vast tracts of land to convert food into ethanol.
“Australia is a huge island in a remote corner of the world. Everything we eat, export or import relies on ships, planes, tractors, trucks and trains. These all run on hydro-carbon fuels.
“Yet every Ministerial statement on energy prattles on endlessly about wind, solar and geothermal energy. For the foreseeable future, our mobile machinery will run on oil, gas, or electricity from coal.”
“When the next war closes the Middle East oilfields or the sea lanes, Australians will be found trying to run their farm trucks on charcoal burners or waste cooking oil.
“They will then remember the fools who locked up our own oil on our own land and closed every oil refinery with a totally unnecessary Emissions Trading Scheme.”

Why are we preaching to the converted?
We are not aiming to become the most educated people in the concentration camp – we aim to arm the converted by supplying ammunition. We hope anything we send is sent further.
Sermons are not given to convince or educate the disciples - they are sent so disciples can take the testament and go out and convert heathens. This is a battle for minds, and it is a numbers game. How many heathens did you contact today?
So, you either generate ammunition, or you fire ammunition, or you get out of the way in case you get shot as a bystander.
We generate ammunition and fire quite a bit of it. But there is no magic bullet - just dogged persistence.
So, please fire some ammunition today. Don’t aim always at the dedicated alarmists – they are not going to change their minds. Send to the undecided, to your associates and to your local politicians and media.

Breaking news:
“Obama’s Priorities: Forget the Green Revolution” – energy security comes first.”
CCNet 176/2008 – 2 December 2008.
Barak Obama has selected General James Jones as his national security adviser. According to Gen. Jones, formerly the Marine commandant and Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, “energy is a national security issue, and it is an international security issue of the highest order.”
Gen. Jones is likely to advocate “ more of everything—more domestic oil and gas, more nuclear power, more coal, more renewable energy, and above all, for the federal government to cut through regulatory thickets that have hamstrung U.S. energy modernization in recent years.” His key goal is likely to be “how we can get more energy and how we can use less”.
The only thing Gen. James doesn’t countenance is more of the same. “The status quo is not an option, it is a recipe for failure.”
